New rumours as to who the actor and the lead character are in Rockstar’s recently announced Grand Theft Auto V have swept the Internet.
Fan website iGTAV points out that Grand Theft Auto V’s IMDB page now lists Law & Order actor Ned Luke as playing the part of Albert De Silva. Fans also believe Luke’s demo reel demonstrates a physical and vocal likeness to the narrator and apparent lead character in the game’s first trailer.
The speculation has been given some additional weight via a series of tweets by fellow actor James Taenaka. The first read, “my fellow thespian Ned Luke is the lead voice and profile in the upcoming game by Rockstar Grand Theft Auto 5! Way to go Ned! Wholly Molly!”
Next, “Grand Theft Auto V trailer with Ned Luke our homey as the LEAD!”
It would appear that Rockstar then took notice as Taenaka toned down his tweets: “@RockstarGames #GTAV looks awesome! it's not official but I know that voice and look #NedLuke He is bigger & badder than Statham... lookout.”
This was followed by, “GTA 5 playaz across the globe! I just recognized the voice & profile -that's all I can say respectfully. I am looking forward to GTA 5 :-)”
Luke’s own twitter account has been deleted after referencing “GrandTheftAutoMemories”.
