The was site owned by an anonymous member of the public and variously mocked the Activision shooter or redirected users to competing shooter Battlefield 3.

Appealing to the Arbitration Forum, Activision claimed, ““The domain name is identical or confusingly similar to complainant’s trademark,” and that the “respondent has no legal right or legitimate interest in the domain name.” Activision also claims that by directing visitors to Battlefield 3’s official website, the site operator “attempted to cause confusion with and tarnish” the Modern Warfare brand.
