Rockstar has announced four new downloadable content packs for Red Dead Redemption, the first of which will arrive on Xbox LIVE and the PlayStation Network next month.
That pack is Legends and Killers and will introduce nine new multiplayer maps, eight new multiplayer characters and a new weapon, the tomahawk, which will be available for both singleplayer and multiplayer modes.
Liars and Cheats will bring the in-game mini-games games liar’s dice and poker to multiplayer. It will also introduce a new weapon, the explosive rifle, a further eight multiplayer characters, a new multiplayer mode called Attack and Defend, new multiplayer horse races with “mounted combat,” and “a chance to play as the heroes and villains of Red Dead Redemption.”
The Free Roam pack will bring additional free roam challenges, new defensive positions and “action areas,” leaderboards, posse scoring and anti-griefing features.
Finally, Undead Nightmare will include a new singleplayer adventure, challenges and quests, eight multiplayer zombie skins and will “unleash” additional animals on the game world.
The last three DLC packs are dated for release in New Zealand’s spring. Each will cost 800 Microsoft Points or USD $9.99.
