Activision has calculated that the first-day sales of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 reached approximately 4.7 million copies across the US and UK, and garnering USD $310 million for the publisher’s coffers.

Activision CEO Mike Griffith said, “Modern Warfare 2 has taken interactive experience to unprecedented heights setting a new standard for entertainment.”
