Grand Theft Auto Online’s free Deathmatch and Race Creators tool is entering beta this week via a free title update.
The beta gives players access to some of the same tools as Rockstar’s game design and development team so they may create “custom blood-soaked gunfights, high-octane street races, screaming jet dogfights and more”.
Deathmatches and Races can then be published via Rockstar Games Social Club for the whole community to discover, download, play, rate and share.
Players will be able to create and customise Jobs for Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Race, GTA Race, and Rally Race.
The best community-created content will be tagged as Rockstar Verified Jobs, and shared out to the entire GTA Online community.
Competitive team mode Capture – which Rockstar calls “a proper GTA twist on classic capture the flag” – is also coming to the game this month.
Next year Grand Theft Auto Online will get co-operative Heists, while Grand Theft Auto V is getting story-based DLC.
