Rapper Daz Dillinger says Rockstar used songs he wrote in Grand Theft Auto V without his permission.
Dillinger, also known as Dat Nigga Daz and Delmar Drew Arnaud, has sent a cease and desist letter to Take-Two Interactive Software and Rockstar Games in an attempt to be properly compensated.
According to Dillinger, Rockstar wanted to feature “C-Walk” and “Nothin' But the Cavi Hit” in the game, but offered him an "offensively low offer of US$4,271 for both songs", a sum which which he turned down.
He is seeking the recall and destruction of all unsold copies of the game, or a better offer for the song rights, and has set a deadline of 14 days.
Dillinger told TMZ that it was about "respecting an artist's work. Rockstar didn't do that here and I can't let them get away with it."
