Mentions of PC and PlayStation 4 versions of Grand Theft Auto V have allegedly been found in the code of the game on Xbox 360.

Grand Theft Auto V is already available on torrent sites, which has apparently led to some gamers searching around in its source code.

A post on Reddit directs readers to a 2000-line Pastebin file, within which is XML of what is allegedly the game’s config file.

Therein are mentions of the PC as well as PlayStation 4’s Orbis operating system. There is no mention of Xbox One.

Last month, Sony UK tweeted, “GTA V is going to be amazing, especially on the PS4!”, but later apologised for what it called a “typo”.

Also in August, Nvidia senior investor relations director Chris Evenden mentioned a PC version of Grand Theft Auto V during the company’s earnings conference call – a statement later dismissed as an example of the sort of game coming to PC this year.

Meanwhile, a petition to bring the game to PC has crossed the 365,000 signature mark.

A petition to bring it to Wii U hasn’t been quite as popular.

Grand Theft Auto V is available now for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It was local retailer Mighty Ape’s most pre-ordered title ever.
