The first DLC pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops II features a new zombie mode where undead players attack their friends.
The upcoming Revolution DLC's Turned mode sees a lone human player fight for survival and points against a field of zombie players. The first zombie to kill the human spawns as a new human.
Revolution also contains four new vanilla multiplayer maps, a new Zombies map, and a new sub-machine gun called the Peacekeeper.
The new maps are based on the French Alps, a dam facility in Pakistan, a ruined luxury resort in the sand dunes of the Gobi Desert, and Venice Beach, of all places.
The latter will be “comprised of unique curved architecture requiring players to adapt and learn new ways to take cover”, according to Treyarch.
The new Zombies map, Die Rise, is based on a Chinese city.
“With Black Ops II, the team set out to challenge assumptions about what fans should expect from Call of Duty, and there’s no exception with Revolution,” said Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia.
Revolution is the first of four planned DLC packs for Black Ops II, and will be available on the Xbox 360 from January 29 for 1200 Microsoft Points.
It isn’t yet known when the content will come to PC, PlayStation 3, and Wii U.
