Dragons Dogma creator Hideaki Itsuno is keen for a sequel, which seems likely given the boost that game gave Capcom’s finances.
Despite having "struggled abroad" according to Capcom, Dragon’s Dogma "exceeded expectations".
Itsuno revealed that only 60-70% of his ideas for the original Dragon’s Dogma made it into the final product.
The developer mentioned “quest creation” as one idea that didn’t make the cut, but which would be included in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Hideaki also revealed that the Dragon’s Dogma world was only two-thirds the size of what he was originally aiming for.
Capcom has reported first quarter profits that are 290 per cent higher than its first quarter figures from last year.
