Hideo Kojima isn't just thinking of gamers when it comes to who will play Death Stranding – he thinks movie goers will be playing the game as well.
The game will include a 'Very Easy Mode' for those that don't normally play video games. Kojima believes a number of people will buy the game purely to see the performances of actors like Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, and Lea Seydoux.
In addition to the big names headlining the game, Death Stranding is expected to feature a number of cameos, with director Guillermo Del Toro already appearing in the game, as well as games industry veteran and Kojima fan-club president, Geoff Keighley.
A number of other high-profile individuals have visited Kojima Productions over the years, with Keanu Reeves being the most recent. Whether they'll also make an appearance remains unclear.
Normally there’s only Easy Mode, but we added Very Easy Mode for movie fans since we have real actors like Norman, Mads, Lea starred in. Even Yano-san who never completed the 1st stage of PAC-MAN, was able to complete the game on Very Easy Mode 👍🌈🦀😅 https://t.co/fMZmuZltZw— HIDEO_KOJIMA (@HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN) September 6, 2019
The difficulty reveal comes thanks to Kojima's assistant, Ayako Terashima, who just finished her first test play on the difficulty. According to her boss, she's never completed the first stage of Pac-Man, so things look good for those that possess absolutely no skill with a controller.
Kojima's games have usually including difficulty settings, however his last entry in the Metal Gear did not. It's good to see the options return in Death Stranding.
Death Stranding releases November 8 on PlayStation 4.
