The Grand Theft Auto Online servers are down for an extended maintenance to prepare for the game's upcoming launch on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

The servers went offline at 7am NZDT. Rockstar anticipates that it should take seven hours to perform the maintenance.

Service should therefore resume at 2pm NZDT.

Grand Theft Auto V for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be available from November 18.

Yesterday, Rockstar announced that those who upgrade from the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 versions of Grand Theft Auto V to either of the new-gen versions will get access to exclusive missions, vehicles, and more.
