Kiefer Sutherland has confirmed that he is involved in an upcoming Mortal Kombat title.

While discussing his role as Big Boss in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain with IGN, Sutherland let slip that a new Mortal Kombat was on the way.

“I did Mortal Kombat, and that's such a huge game, but it’s so not like [The Phantom Pain]," he said.

He did not specify exactly what his role was.

According to Sutherland, his work on Mortal Kombat was completed pretty quickly compared to The Phantom Pain.

Mortal Kombat developer NetherRealm Studios last revisited the franchise with 2012’s Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition.
