Upcoming supernatural adventure game Beyond: Two Souls cost a mere £16.8 million (NZ$32.19m) to make, says Quantic Dream's David Cage.

Cage revealed the production cost to French site Le Figaro, a sum he says was completely covered by Sony.

Considering the game runs on an all-new engine, stars Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe, and features a soundtrack by popular composer Hans Zimmer, that seems like something of a bargain.

Beyond: Two Souls will be available on PlayStation 3 from October 9.
