The release of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance in Australia and New Zealand has been pushed back a few days.

The game was due out tomorrow, but now won’t be available until February 26.

A last minute shipping delay was responsible for the wait, said distributor Mindscape.

“As gamers ourselves, we’re committed to ensuring that Australian release dates align with global launches and we’re working hard to ensure that this problem doesn’t occur in the future,” the company added.

Taking place after Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was developed by Platinum Games (Bayonetta, Vanquish) and takes the Metal Gear franchise from its stealth roots to an altogether more action-oriented place.

It will be available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 next Tuesday.
