BioWare and Electronic Arts are aiming to launch Star Wars: The Old Republic in New Zealand and Australia around the 1st of March, 2012.
It also appears that the MMO will have local servers.
On the game’s official forums, BioWare community manager Stephen Reid today writes, “Right now we are targeting March 1st, but that could change as our number one priority is making sure that customers have a great service to play on.
For those of you who may have already imported the game, we will be investigating solutions to allow you to continue to play on a local server once they come online in March.”
Star Wars: The Old Republic went on sale in the US and Europe today. It’s estimated that more than 1 million gamers were playing the game this week as a part of the pre-order early access programme.
