Blizzard has freely discussed a console version of Diablo III at Gamescom today.

Pulling up short of confirming that the high profile RPG hack’n’slasher will grace your Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, Blizzard’s Josh Mosqueira told attendant press that the company is now “very, very serious about bringing the Diablo 3 experience to the console.” (Via Eurogamer.)

Blizzard is actively recruiting staff to work on a console version of Diablo III.

“Today, we're trying to build the best console team at Blizzard. We're looking for programmers, designers, artists who think their dream job would be to bring Diablo to the console. Trust me, it is a dream job.”

“All I can say is it's going to be awesome. Stay tuned.”

Diablo III is expected to go into public beta in the very near future. You can find Gameplanet’s extensive coverage of the game, including exactly what you can expect from that beta, here.
