Manchester United Football Club is looking to enter the eSports industry, according to eSports News UK.

The club is reportedly in talks with a professional Overwatch team currently signed to another organisation.

Also in negotiations with the same, unspecified team is eSports brand Fnatic.

Fnatic's counter-offer may not be a threat to the football club, with Manchester United valued at $3.3 billion to Fnatic's $42.5 million.

Overwatch has seen incredible popularity in its short lifespan, with other competitive titles like League of Legends dipping in correlation with the Blizzard title's release.

Manchester United is not the first football club to delve into eSports, with West Ham, FC Schalke 04 and Valencia CF acquiring competitive players in League of Legends, FIFA, and other eSports titles.
