Campo Santo's debut indie game Firewatch has been an unqualified success, according to distributor Panic.

The game sold 500,000 full-price copies in its first month, across Steam and the PlayStation Store, and was the top-selling PlayStation digital download for February.

Panic, an app developer which had never shipped a game before, made back its investment in one day.

What's more, Panic also shipped over 1,000 sets of photo prints from its fictitious photography company Fotodome.

Fotodome is a meta feature that offers physical prints of shots taken with Firewatch's in-game camera.

Gameplanet gave Firewatch a 9.5/10, praising its "sparkling, character-driven dialogue" and "drop-dead beautiful art direction."

It is available now for Windows, Mac, Linux, and PS4.
