Doom will release on May 13th, Bethesda Softworks announced today.
The anticipated sequel will also be available in a US$120 collector's edition featuring a steelbook and a statue of the Revenant demon on an LED-lit, rotating base.
A new trailer, shown below, claims to be a look at the game's story but is mostly noteworthy for its litany of cinematic finishing moves.
2016's Doom is certainly the first in the series to feature a Cacodemon's eye being torn out of its socket; going by the trailer, the game is centred around eyeball violence in general.
Doom launches May 13th for new-gen consoles and PC.
