Chinese investment company Tencent now wholly owns League of Legends developer Riot Games.
The internet, mobile phone, and media giant completed its acquisition after acquiring a majority stake in 2011.
When that stake was purchased, CEO Brandon Beck said the Los Angeles-based company would "remain completely independent."
In response to the now-total acquisition, the company said "This allows us to move away from a Riot equity program towards a cash based incentive program that allows Rioters to share in Riot's success."
Tencent also owns a minority stake in Unreal developer Epic Games and mobile developer Glu.
League of Legends made over US$1.3 billion in microtransaction revenue in 2014, making the acquisition lucrative indeed for Tencent.
