You can play The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited for free on Xbox One and PC right now until Monday December 14 at 9:01pm NZDT.

On Xbox One, provided you have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription, you can just download the game and get started (more info here), but on PC you need an activation code.

Fortunately, we have 20 of these to give away, so if you want to play, comment on this story and we’ll send you one!

In addition, on PC the game will be on sale for 60 per cent off. The same Crown discount also applies. All your progress will be retained in either version, should you choose to upgrade to the full game.

For more information about how to take part in the free play weekend/redeem your code visit the game’s official site.

In the latest and biggest Elder Scrolls game ever created, players can embark on heroic single-player quests, explore the sprawling world of Tamriel with friends, or join forces with hundreds of others in player vs. player battles as they unravel the secrets of a persistent Tamriel. ZeniMax Online Studios have also recently released Orsinium, the largest ESO DLC game pack to date. Orsinium takes you to the mountains of Wrothgar, and to the Orc capital itself, to unravel plots and counter-plots, and encounter all-new enemies and allies.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited is available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
