CD Projekt Red intends to release its sci-fi RPG Cyberpunk 2077 in 2016, according to Gamereactor Germany.

The website cited a source "close to the company" for the information.

Cyberpunk 2077, based on the classic pen-and-paper RPG, was announced back in 2012, with precious few details emerging since then.

It has been described as "far, far bigger" than anything the studio has tackled thus far, and tells a nonlinear story in a future where technology rose as society fell.

In the meantime, the studio is wrapping up work on the final expansion to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, entitled Blood and Wine.

That title definitely is releasing in the first half of 2016.
