Blizzard's online FPS Overwatch launches its closed beta on October 27, and signups are open now.
Aiming to "hammer the heck out of our tech," Blizzard hopes participants will "discuss and dissect every hero, map, ability, and other aspect of the game."
The beta will begin in the Americas, before spreading to Europe and Asia.
For the most part, the closed beta will be kept fairly small, but occasional Beta Test Weekends will be opened to more players to "stress test [Blizzard's] servers to ensure they can withstand the assault."
The first such weekend is scheduled for after BlizzCon 2015, which takes place from November 6-7.
Overwatch has no date set; players can sign up for the beta at this link.
