Bandai Namco has announced at the Tokyo Game Show that Dark Souls III will come out in Australasia for the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC in April of next year.

The company also announced that a series of network stress test sessions on the PlayStation 4 will give a limited number of players an opportunity to play before then.

The aim of the network stress test is to evaluate game server loads, multiplayer gameplay, and game balance.

Registration for the network stress test opens September 19, 3am NZT, and closes October 5 3am.

The network stress test sessions take place as follows:
Saturday, October 17, 7am to 10am NZT
Sunday, October 18, 7am to 10am NZT
Monday, October 19, 7am to 10am NZT
