The next Far Cry title could feature vampires or dinosaurs, or it might take place during the Vietnam War.
A recent survey sent to some Far Cry 4 players – who then forwarded it to Eurogamer – had them choose their favourite scenarios from a list that included real-world locations such as Peru and Alaska, historical settings like the Vietnam War, and even a Spaghetti Western-style setup in late 19th century Central America.
Also listed: "a Far Cry game where you can fight against or join vampires", "a Mad Max-style post-apocalyptic world", and "a Far Cry game set in the modern day on a Jurassic Park-style island with dinosaurs".
There are also options for a Far Cry with zombies, a Blood Dragon sequel, and a straight sequel to Far Cry 4 in Shangri-La.
Ubisoft has a long history of polling and listening to the responses of Assassin's Creed fans, so it seems fairly likely one of these scenarios could pop up in Far Cry 5.
