A StarCraft II player was disqualified from a tournament after tweeting that he was about to "rape" his female opponent.
Mihaylo “Kas” Hayda [pictured] was booted from Fragbite Masters Season 3 tournament after he tweeted: "Going to rape some girl soon". The tweet has since been deleted.
His opponent, Madeleine “MaddeLisk” Leander, described the situation as scary, and said, "A few minutes into the first map the game was paused. I had no idea why but it was because of the tweet. The game went on and I lost 0-2. When the match was over I saw [the tweet] written by my opponent.
"I don’t even know what to say. I was very surprised to say the least. This coming from a pro player is scary. The organizers did what they could. They asked Kas to apologize and talked about it after."
Fragbite Masters said:
Kas is being disqualified from Fragbite Masters due to recent tweet. We do NOT support that kind of behavior.— Fragbite Masters (@FragbiteM) November 21, 2014
Hayda has since publicly apologised for what he described as "stupid tweets", and added that he was "really ashamed".
