Telltale Games' Game of Thrones adaptation will feature some of the HBO show’s main cast members, the developer announced today.

The studio also released the first teaser trailer for the game.

"Today we can announce that some cast members of the series will reprise their roles in the game," said Telltale.

"While players will control five members of House Forrester in their story, the series will have them interacting with fan favorite characters throughout the season, including Tyrion Lannister performed by Peter Dinklage, Cersei Lannister performed by Lena Headey, Margaery Tyrell performed by Natalie Dormer, and Ramsay Snow performed by Iwan Rheon. Additional cast members will appear in later episodes."

Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series follows the plight of House Forrester, and takes place towards the end of season three of the HBO show. Bannermen to House Glover, they have always been loyal to the ruling great house of the North — the Starks.

"The Forresters are seated at Ironrath, an imposing stronghold surrounded by towering ironwood trees," said Telltale.

"Built over fifteen hundred years ago by Cedric Forrester and his triplet sons, Ironrath is a testament to the strength and endurance of Ironwood. The Forrester house words are 'Iron from Ice,' which echoes their belief that – like the ironwood itself – the adverse conditions and unforgiving landscape of the North only makes them stronger."

"The actions of one character can ripple out to affect the rest of House Forrester," it added.

"Multiply the actions of one character by five, and you're truly playing the Game of Thrones ... where you win, or you die."

There are 13 Forrester characters in total, and Polygon has a picture of one – Mira Forrester.

From Telltale:

Mira had always been fond of Ironrath, but Lady Forrester – wanting her eldest daughter to learn the ways of a Southron court – arranged for Mira to serve as a handmaiden to Margaery Tyrell. To Mira’s great surprise, she enjoyed attending on Margaery at Highgarden, and followed her to King’s Landing with enthusiasm. Life in the capital has not been easy for Mira, as her straightforward Northern ways are often at odds with the subtleties of court life – but she also has more guile than she realizes.

The game’s first episode, "Iron From Ice," is coming to iOS, Mac, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Windows PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One soon.
