Resident Evil: Revelations 2 stars one very familiar face and the daughter of another.
The first is Claire Redfield, who first appeared in Resident Evil 2 and has been in 12 Resident Evil games since. She’s a member of the human rights organization Terra Save, and also the younger sister of former S.T.A.R.S. member and Resident Evil 1 protagonist Chris Redfield.
The second playable character is Moira Burton, daughter of Resident Evil 1’s Barry Burton, another former S.T.A.R.S. member.
According to a feature in the November issue of GamesMaster Magazine, Claire’s role in the game is more combat-oriented, whereas Moira is more of a support character.
However, the overall focus is survival horror rather than action.
Resident Evil: Revelations 2 features both a singleplayer and co-op mode.
It is set on a detention facility on an abandoned island, and takes place between Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6.
It will feature a new enemy type called the Afflicted, and will run at 1080p and 60fps on current-gen and PC.
It is expected to release in early 2015 on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC.
