There are now just under 7 million people playing World of Warcraft, Blizzard has announced.
As of June 30, 6.8 million people were subscribed to Blizzard's MMO.
In May, Blizzard announced that 7.6 million were subscribed.
Blizzard said the drop-off was "disproportionally concentrated in the East", indicating that Western server populations were less affected, but that the developer's push into Eastern markets with the Eastern-themed Mists of Pandaria expansion hadn't achieved sustained success.
The developer added that it saw a similar decline in the second quarter of 2012 prior to the release of Mists of Pandaria.
Blizzard will announce the release date for World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor next week.
