The PC and Mac edition of The Elder Scrolls Online will be released on April 4, 2014, Bethesda has announced. The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 editions will follow in June.

The Elder Scrolls Online will require a subscription of US$14.99 to play.

“Game development is coming along very well,” said game director Matt Firor in a blog post. “We completed major systems development, and are focusing on making this the Elder Scrolls game you expect.”

“As some of you know, we’ve been in beta testing for about a year now, leading up to our most recent test in late November where we had over 300,000 people in the game over a 48 hour period,” added Firor. “We’ve had approximately 4 million people sign up for beta and that number continues to grow.”

In related news, Bethesda released a new The Elder Scrolls Online today, focussing on the MMO’s player-versus-player gameplay.
