PES 2014 will be available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows PC from September 26, Konami has announced.
The game marks the series’ shift onto Kojima Productions’ Fox Engine, which Konami said has allowed the development team to rework every aspect of the franchise.
The biggest new feature is Trueball Tech, which allows the ball to react as a separate entity rather than be tied to the movements of players.
This will allow gamers to control the weight shifting of players independently, creating realistic one-on-one situations, said Konami.
In addition, a new Motion Animation Stability System will ensure realistic contact, ensuring a freer and less predictable gameplay experience, it said.
With Konami the exclusive holders of the UEFA Champions League competition, the game’s packaging will highlight PES 2014’s replication of the competition rather than concentrating on players, said Konami.
The release dates for PlayStation 2 and PSP versions of the game are yet to be announced.
