The latest update for Counter Strike: Global Offensive gives players the ability to buy, sell, and trade decorated weapons that they can equip in-game.

The Arms Deal Update features more than 100 all-new decorated weapons that players acquire randomly simply by playing, or via a microtransaction to unlock in-game weapon cases.

A portion of the proceeds from these sales will go towards prize purses at Global Offensive community events, and a workshop for decorated weapons is in development.

All weapons can also be sold on the Steam Marketplace or traded with other players. None confer a gameplay advantage – the customisations are merely cosmetic.

In addition, two new stock weapons have also been added to the game: the M4A1-S and USP-S.
