Combat in Fighting Steel takes place in a fully rendered 3-D world. All the ships in the game are fully rendered and textured 3-D models, providing a high level of detail and extreme realism. An auto-camera allows the player to view the action from many different camera angles, constantly keeping the player's eyes on the critical events of the fight as they unfold. Detailed combat and maneuvering systems accurately simulate naval surface combat, while the powerful and easy to use user interface keeps the player worrying about strategy and tactics, not the mechanics of how to get things done. Fighting Steel is the most graphically stunning and realistic simulation of surface warfare ever created.
Features:
Multiple player controlled camera angles and an "autocam" (customizable by the player) that constantly adjusts its view to show the action.
Realistic visibility effects in 3-D including smoke, reduced visibility (bad weather, night) and starshells and searchlights for finding enemy ships in the dark.
Over 90 ship classes from the British, German, American and Japanese navies of 1939-1942.
Setup an unlimited number of computer generated encounters or use the scenario editor to create your own scenarios.
Control multi-ship divisions and/or individual ships in real time action. Includes 4 linked scenario campaigns (one for each navy) derived from Britain vs. Germany in the Atlantic and U.S. vs. Japan around Guadalcanal.
