As reported by the New York Observer, Rockstar Games' co-founder Dan Houser has purchased legendary crime writer Truman Capote's New York mansion for a staggering USD $12.5m.

The Grand Theft Auto co-creator's newest purchase, located at 70 Willow Street in New York's Brooklyn Heights district, was home to the In Cold Blood and Breakfast at Tiffany's author for 10 years.

The sale is the most expensive in Brooklyn history, surpassing the previous record by a full USD $1.5 million.

Rockstar's development teams are currently working on Max Payne 3 and Grand Theft Auto V.
