Several French videogame sites are reporting that Amazon France temporarily listed Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. According to, the online retailer listed the game on Friday before taking it down.

Gameblog adds that Activision asked for the article to be taken down, a request it refused, and one that it claims has resulted in its “blacklisting” by Activision. The publisher has replied to these allegations saying, “Activision doesn't blacklist journalists. We believe this was a misunderstanding and are working towards a resolution.”

Adding more fuel to the rumours of Black Ops 2 is a resume listed on professional social network LinkedIn. The resume belongs to an employee at studio Nerve Software, which does contract artwork for other developers. It cites Black Ops 2 as a title the employee has worked on.

Activision confirmed recently that there would be a new Call of Duty title this year, and that it would have “meaningful innovation.”
