Nintendo has announced a remodelled version of the Wii, to be launched in time for the holiday season.
The new model Wii has been designed to better sit horizontally rather than vertically. Additionally, it will no longer be backwards compatible, meaning that, unlike the current model Wii, Gamecube products will not be supported.
The face-lift marks the first redesign of the Wii since its launch in 2006. When launched, it will come bundled with Wii Party and Wii Sports Resort, a Wiimote Plus and a nunchuk controller.
Finally, Nintendo has said that the classic Wii will be discontinued once the remodelled version hits store shelves.
