Playstation and EA Sports are hosting an exciting event which will combine real football with virtual football fun. The New Zealand event will merge the virtual football competition - FIFA Interactive World Cup - with a fun day of real football brought to you by "The Samba Soccer Club", who specialise in a Brazilian form of athletic and acrobatic exhibition football.

The tournament will bring together 128 gamers to compete for the prize of becoming New Zealand's FIFA Interactive World Cup 2008 representative. The winner will go on to attend the Grand Final in Berlin in May 2008.

Kiwi soccer star Ryan Nelsen will also present a video message to all FIFA interactive players on the day.

The event will take place at 101 Halsey Street, Viaduct Marine Village (the ex-Alinghi Base) on Auckland's waterfront, on Sunday 6th April 2008, from 1-5pm.
