Blizzard Entertainment today announced that World of Warcraft's player base now exceeds 10 million subscribers worldwide. World of Warcraft now hosts more than 2 million subscribers in Europe, more than 2.5 million in North America, and approximately 5.5 million in Asia. Interest in the game has remained high in all regions, with thousands of new and returning players signing up through the holiday season.
In other WoW news, Blizzard has released a new patch, bringing their popular MMORPG to v2.3.3. The patch contains some bugfixes and improves data load times when newly entering the world and after zoning into new areas. In addition, character/NPC load times have been decreased, and now should appear faster.
