Atari, Inc. has announced that its majority stockholder, California US Holdings, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Infogrames Entertainment, removed five people from its Board of Directors of Atari via written stockholder consent effective as of October 5, 2007.

New York-based Atari, Inc. develops interactive games for all platforms and is a third-party publisher of interactive entertainment software in the US. The company's 1,000+ titles include franchises such as Test Drive and Dragon Ball Z. Atari, Inc. is a majority-owned subsidiary of France-based Infogrames Entertainment, an interactive games publisher in Europe.

In May, Atari announced a reorganisation of its general and administrative functions, reducing Atari's workforce by approximately 20 per cent. The company has been on a cost-savings drive following "substantial doubt" over its ability to continue as a going concern, announced last year.
