Koei has announced the release of the playable demo for Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War. The playable demo will be available to download from Thursday 4th October on both Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. The full release of the epic real time strategy/action title will follow on November 2nd.

In the early half of the 14th Century, a quarrel over English succession to the French throne escallated into what history would come to know as the Hundred Years’ War. In 2007, Koei’s upcoming video game will bring to life the intensity and drama of a war-torn Medieval Europe featuring a rich tapestry of legendary characters including Joan of Arc and Prince Edward - later to be called the Black Prince.

Utilising a new game engine attainable through the power of this generations hardware, the game’s armies will collide on the battlefield at an unprecedented scale. Countless numbers of fearless soldiers will clash on screen in ferocious battles, where tactics and cunning will combine with valour and might to determine who is left standing when the dust settles on one of history’s most epic conflicts.
