The New Zealand Game Developers' Association is holding G3 - Games, Girls and Graphics - next week.
On Friday 13th and Saturday 14th July, the New Zealand game development community will converge on Auckland’s Town Hall to celebrate our most digitally-advanced creative industry.
The event has been sponsored by Gameplanet, Auckland City Council, New Zealand Trade & Enterprise and the New Zealand Game Developers Association.
G3 will include two days of guest speakers from the games and graphics sector, including expat Kiwi and Studio Manager for Microsoft Game Studios Asia, Andrew Flavell.
NZ Game Developers' Association board member Frances Valintine comments: “G3 is about encouraging girls into careers in Creative Technologies, but also about encouraging all people to explore digital career opportunities. There are amazing opportunities in this industry, and New Zealanders have the creative edge to take hold of that.
“G3 is a chance to highlight the culture of collaboration that local companies and individuals in the New Zealand creative sector are carving out. Our environment and our resourcefulness make us a unique destination to take Creative Technologies and Game Development to the next level.”
The free event commences at 9am next Friday and registration for session times is essential. To confirm attendance, visit shoko.co.nz/g3.
