Electronic Arts has launched the 'Harry Potter Premiere Competition' at harrypottertokyopremiere.com, an online competition for Harry Potter fans across the Asia Pacific region, to celebrate the upcoming launch of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix video game.
The competition will be open to residents of Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Japan, India, Korea, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, and Thailand starting today, accepting entries until 8:00am on June 22, 2007.
The competition will offer the participants a chance to win tickets to the Tokyo premiere of the highly anticipated movie, scheduled to take place in on June 28.
Residents of the 10 participating countries can enter the competition simply by visiting the campaign website, and answering the question, “What is the name of the group of students that secretly gather to learn Defence Against the Dark Arts from Harry Potter?”
The answer to the question must be incorporated in limerick form, as the entries will be judged on creativity and humour. Two Grand Prize winners of the competition will each receive two tickets to the Tokyo Premiere of the movie, two return flight tickets to Tokyo and back from country of residence, and two nights' accommodation in Tokyo. Visit harrypottertokyopremier.com for the complete competition rules.
The game is scheduled for release worldwide on July 28, 2007 for all formats. With the new non-linear gameplay, players can choose to go anywhere and interact with virtually everything they come across, playing key moments from the movie and discovering the magical secrets of Hogwarts.
