Sega has revealed some of the musical secrets behind the world’s most deadliest organisation, The Club. A fast-paced take on third-person shooters, The Club is being developed by Bizarre Creations, the esteemed indie British developer responsible for the Project Gotham Racing series and the addictive arcade smash hits Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved and Boom Boom Rocket.

Award winning, classically trained composer and long time Sega favourite Richard Jacques has been commissioned to score the music throughout the single-player campaign. Alongside Richard’s music are tracks from Chris Chudley for the multiplayer levels and a main theme composed by Jesper Kyd.

Having worked with both Sega and Bizarre Creations on the series' critically acclaimed original, Metropolis Street Racer on Dreamcast, Jacques jumped at the chance to team up once again and provide some "good old thumping beats to match the fast pace, high intensity, run and gun gameplay of The Club."

With a glowing career in the games industry, Richard Jacques has worked his way from in-house musician at Sega Europe right through to becoming one of the most sought after musicians the industry has seen.

The first video game composer to secure a major budget for a live symphony orchestra, the first to have his game music featured in art galleries and live concerts in Europe, Japan and North America, and the first western composer to have his game soundtracks released commercially in Japan as well as Europe and North America are "just the tip of Richard’s musical iceberg", says Sega.

Sega and Bizarre Creations turned to British Academy award winner Jesper Kyd to provide the theme music for The Club. Furthermore, Chris Chudley, who has been creating game music for Bizarre Creations since Project Gotham Racing 2, has also been recruited. Sega says players familiar with Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved will recognise his tight beats and ability to write music that perfectly suits the pace of the game. "His tunes for the multiplayer sections of The Club perfectly meet the intensity and franticness of the various modes on offer and give players a fantastic experience."

The Club The Club is scheduled for release on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in Summer 2007.
