Danish game downloads site twindale.com has launched a free contest on the Twintale Game Store site to win a Sony TV. Everyone signing up for the newsletter is automatically registered for the contest. Participants in the contest can improve their chances of winning by referring friends to the game store.
Twintale Entertainment was founded in January 2007 by the twins Mikael and Martin Andresen and aims to develop and publish high quality casual game titles as well as assisting indie game developers with funds and/or in-house resources to help them bring their titles to the market. The Twintale Game Store has a large collection of free game downloads of the latest casual games on the market.
The prize for the contest is a 32" Bravia S-series LCD Flat Panel HDTVKDL-32S2010 worth US$1,399 at the contest launch. For each game Twintale Entertainment sells via their game store they add an amount of the revenue to the prize pot. When the prize pot reaches $1,399 the contest ends and a winner is randomly drawn. To start off the contest Twintale Entertainment has put $100 into the prize pot.
Each subscriber to the Twintale Game Store Newsletter automatically receives a single ticket to the draw. For each friend the subscriber refers, that also subscribes to the newsletter before the contest ends, the subscriber gains an additional ticket. No purchases are required to participate in the contest and making purchases at the game store does not increase the chances of winning the TV.
To avoid fraud and spam, Twintale Entertainment says it will remove subscribers from the contest that refer owners of e-mail addresses that are not their friends.
