The Electronic Sports World Cup was launched in 2003. The finals are organised in Paris, at the Carrousel du Louvre in 2005 and in Bercy in 2006. The ESWC has rewarded the champions with more than 1 million dollars of prize money over the years. The next ESWC grand final will be from 5 to 8 July 2007, and will gather 1,000 of the best computer and video gamers from all over the world, and more than 50,000 visitors.
