A new trailer for Capcom's Project Resistance has debuted ahead of Tokyo Game Show, and looks to be a successor to Resident Evil: Outbreak.
The trailer depicts four characters in a laboratory environment [though, one that's not a particularly sterile] facing off against waves of zombies, lickers and other foes.
While not actual gameplay footage, it does lend credence to the fan-theory that the teased project would be co-operative, and perhaps following on from Outbreak.
One of the characters in the trailer can be even seen sporting what may be a Raccoon University jacket, which was itself a setting within Outbreak.
Elsewhere in the lab we see a shadowy figure pulling the strings that could be a fifth player. After the group's success against waves of enemies, the shadowy figure sends through a Tyrant that he looks to be controlling himself.
Of course, this is all speculation for now. Project Resistance is yet to confirm a release date, but will be playable on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
