Gearbox's gameplay reveal for Borderlands 3 is tomorrow, and for those tuning in on Twitch, there's a chance to earn in-game loot.
A new partnership with the streaming giant has resulted in the Borderlands 3 ECHOcast Twitch extension, which offers new levels of interactions between streamers and their audience.
When a streamer encounters a Rare Chest Event, their audience will have 30 seconds to opt in, which will give them the chance to score the same loot. Upon winning, players can log into their own game to find their Twitch-begotten gear in the mail.
The first opportunity for a Rare Chest Event will be in tomorrow's gameplay reveal.
In order to bask in the glory of pre-launch loot, players will need to link their Twitch and SHiFT accounts, which can be done at the Gearbox SHiFT page.
Gearbox's SHiFT rewards have been a long-time offering, with the developer often posting codes on social media that gave players of previous Borderlands titles in-game keys to a golden loot chest.
It's great to see the feature expanded upon for the upcoming sequel, and will likely serve as a great recruiting tool for those yet to purchase their copy.
Borderlands 3 releases September 13 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
