Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime will be retiring in April after 15 years with the company.
Fils-Aime joined Nintendo in 2003 as executive vice president of sales and marketing, before stepping up to president and COO in 2006.
In a heart-felt video to fans, Fils-Aime explained that his final day will be April 15, after which he plans to spend more time with his wife, family and friends.

Fils-Aime's successor will be senior vice president of sales and marketing, Doug Bowser – yes, really.
Bowser was previously VP of global business at EA before joining Nintendo in May 2015
Bowser commented "It has been my great fortune to work with and be mentored by Reggie for four years at Nintendo of America, and rest assured, we will continue to build on his work to evolve and expand our brand, furthering Nintendo's global mission of creating smiles. There are millions more of those to come."
