Developer House House has just announced that its Untitled Goose Game has slipped from its early 2019 release window. The developer hasn't given a concrete date, only stating that the game is coming "later 2019".
No reason was given as to why the game was delayed other than the developer stating the release slip is due to "circumstances beyond our control" and that the delay "means we'll be able to make the best goose game possible".
A bit of news: due to circumstances beyond our control — see video — our goose game will not be arriving until later in 2019. This means we'll be able to make the best goose game possible! Thanks for your patience — we'll get this goose to you as soon as we can. pic.twitter.com/8BqbYw0wQb— House House (@house_house_) February 20, 2019
The goose is my spirit animal, so I'm understandably upset that I won't get to live out my wildest dreams just yet. Untitled Goose Game is one of the more bizarre indie titles coming this year and sees players stepping into the boots (webbed feet) of a bastard goose, hellbent on stealing from the local people and making their lives, in general, a hilarious nightmare.
Untitled Goose Game is now set to release later in 2019 on Switch, PC, and Mac.
