EA's release schedule has looked little slim for the start of the year. With Anthem set to release later this month, and the surprise-released free-to-play shooter Apex Legends, we haven't heard much else in the way of major upcoming releases.
During its recent 2019 fiscal report to investors, EA has announced/confirmed that new entries in the Star Wars, Need for Speed and Plants vs. Zombies series are expected to launch before the end of this year.
EA confirmed that Respawn's Star Wars: The Fallen Order will be added to it's "sports titles in the fall". Outside of EA's earnings call, Respawn's Vince Zampella also announced "We are also working on more Titanfall for later in the year (yes, I said the T word). We love being able to experiment in this crazy universe!"
While I've yet to check out Apex Legends, just a day after release, the new shooter has already been played by a whopping 2.5 million unique players, with the concurrent player count reaching an impressive peak of 600,000 players.
